Acquisition Expands Rouge Media’s Reach to 450 College Campuses Across the United States
TORONTO, CANADA — Rouge Media Group has acquired On-Campus Media, the largest U.S. College digital out-of-home advertising networks. The acquisition expands Rouge Media reach to more than 6 million college students daily in the U.S. and Canada.
At the time of the acquisition, On-Campus’s network consisted of 450 college campuses, including Yale, Harvard, Columbia and Penn State Universities with digital assets across digital video, online and mobile.
“We launched in the U.S. four years ago with our beauty network, reaching women 18-plus exclusively. After seeing how progressive the out-of-home industry is in the U.S., we knew we wanted to do expand into other place-based environments. This acquisition allows us to expand our Campus network to the U.S. in a strategic and impactful way,” said said Alison Jacobs, EVP North America, Rouge Media Group.
“We see tremendous opportunity and rapid growth in digital place-based media,” stated Martin Poitras, CEO & Founder, Rouge Media Group. “Rouge will bring products we successfully offer in Canada to the U.S. Campus network, including amplification and mobile targeting.”
